Your first class will focus on fundamental movements and breathing techniques. We'll assess your current fitness level and any limitations, then guide you through basic exercises to familiarize you with Pilates principles. Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing and bring water.
No prior experience necessary! Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels. Our instructors excel at modifying exercises to meet you where you are, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced athlete. Every movement can be adapted to your current capabilities.
For optimal results, we recommend 2-3 sessions per week. Consistency is more important than frequency. Many clients see noticeable improvements in strength, flexibility, and posture within 4-6 weeks of regular practice.
Mat Pilates uses your body weight for resistance and focuses on core strength and stability. Reformer Pilates uses a machine with springs and pulleys to provide variable resistance, allowing for more assistance or challenge depending on your needs. Both are excellent options.
Many people find Pilates beneficial for managing back discomfort and improving overall body mechanics. Our instructors are trained to work with various physical limitations and can modify exercises accordingly. However, please consult with your healthcare provider regarding any specific conditions.
Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothes that allow for movement. Non-slip socks are recommended for reformer classes. We provide all necessary equipment including mats, props, and sanitizing supplies. Just bring yourself and a water bottle.
